Constance Gehring

Constance Gehring Artist's Statement As a fine artist, I have always been fascinated by color. As a young child when my mother put me down for a nap I would stare at the quilt squares of pink, turquoise, and lemon yellow. In being a young artist, I experimented with embroidery and weaving. Since 2010 I have been a painter. First, with pastel and then added oils - what a challenge! and also paint with other mediums. Color is my thing. I strive to paint with harmonious and striking tantalizing color. My work has more than one style. I hope as one looks through these images there is a sense of growth. Please enjoy!
